At any given time SHPR is called in to help local animal control and human officers with dogs in great need. This past fall, SHPR accepted three starving dogs in dire need of critical life-saving medical intervention as well as long-term rehabilitation. Our adoption fees only cover part of the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming our dogs.
Monthly donations are the lifeblood of our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. Consistent support allows us to plan ahead and ensure that every dog receives the essentials they deserve, from life-saving veterinary care and nutritious food to safe shelter and rescue supplies.
Each monthly gift directly contributes to:
